Lake Club
It’s a pretty safe bet that you’ll be spending a lot of time at the Lake Club. With its soaring open hearth and lodge-style tavern, it’s a natural gathering place for families and friends. On warm days, you can head over for a swim in the lakefront pool. And in the evening, the kids can enjoy some old-fashioned popcorn and a movie in the theater room while you enjoy a glass of wine and a romantic dinner in front of a crackling fire in the Lake Club’s elegant restaurant. There’s also a fully equipped fitness center – with steam room and sauna – to continue your regular workout or begin the one you’ve promised yourself you’d start.

This par 29, 1,932-yard course sits at an elevation of 3,400’ to 3,700’ and has some of the best views in the community. You’re going to have to work hard to concentrate while teeing off on the seventh hole, since you’ll be looking at a breathtaking 40-mile view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the valley below. And, since it’s a nine-hole course, you can enjoy a round in the morning and still take the kids for a boat ride before lunch.
